Part-time/Casual Therapist Assistant

(Entry role, perfect for graduates/still studying)

Allied Healthcare Associates is seeking to employ a therapist assistant to join our team and work together with senior clinicians to implement care plans for our clients. We have vacancies for those wanting to start their careers within the health field. Although not a prerequisite, experience with early childhood, school-aged children, and psychology is highly desirable.

 

We are seeking people who:

• Have a degree or is studying in the following discipline (psychology, occupational therapy, nurse degree, social worker, early childhood learning teacher, primary school teacher, kinder teacher, support worker)

• Can apply for a Working with Children Check

• Fluent in Vietnamese (desirable)

• Familiar with working with Autistic/ ASD people

• Have an engaging and fun approach to interacting with young children

• Are creative thinkers, with the ability to change styles based on individual student profiles

• Have the ability to remain calm throughout challenging student behaviour • Are sensitive to challenges faced by families

• Are open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement

• Have a strong work ethic underpinned by punctuality, excellent organisational skills and professionalism

• Can work independently where required
